Barcelona forward Raphinha still has a chance to win the Ballon d’Or, according to Rivaldo, even if the Blaugrana end their Champions League run in the semi-finals.

Former Barcelona forward Rivaldo has backed compatriot Raphinha to be a contender for this year’s Ballon d’Or award despite the 28-year-old’s club crashing out of the Champions League semi-finals.

Raphinha has been in red-hot form ทางเข้า UFABET สำหรับสมาชิกใหม่ สมัครวันนี้ รับโบนัสฟรี this season, scoring 31 goals and providing 18 assists in 48 games in all competitions as the Blaugrana won the Supercopa de Espana and Copa del Rey, while also closing in on another La Liga title. The former 1999 Ballon d’Or winner is still backing the 28-year-old to be in contention to claim the award again.

‘He can still dream of the Ballon d’Or, but I think he still has a chance because he had a great season,’ Rivaldo said of Raphinha.

The Brazilian legend remains confident in Barcelona’s potential to revive and achieve greatness, with the current squad having the talent and character to bring trophies to the club in the future.

‘If the team stays together, this Barca team will win many more trophies,’ Rivaldo said. ‘I am proud that the players fought and gave their all on the pitch.’

‘They had a great season. It’s a shame they didn’t make it to the final and become champions, despite playing very well.’

‘This Barcelona team is very young and next year they will definitely continue to fight because they have shown that they can return to being the Barcelona they used to be and remain strong for many years to come. A lot of that is because of the age of these players.’

‘They are young players who play like they have a lot of experience. If this team stays with the club for another 2-3 years, they will definitely bring home important trophies, especially the Champions League, which the fans are eagerly waiting for because they haven’t won it since 2015.’
