Olympique Marseille are the latest club to make a move for Lens defender Kevin Danso.

Danso’s has been linked with a move away since last summer, with the Austrian almost joining Roma but a medical was delayed and eventually ended.
However, transfer speculation for the 26-year-old defender has resurfaced this month, with Marseille reportedly eyeing Danso as an option.

Marseille boss Roberto De Zerbi is keen to bring in a new centre-half in January, with the team heavily disappointed with Lyon Brassier.
It depends on whether the negotiation with Lens goes well or not. In addition, there are other teams interested in Danso, which should prepare to make an official approach soon.
Danso has been the subject of considerable interest from Turkey and the Premier League this January. Wolverhampton Wanderers had made him a priority target, however, understands that Danso rejected a move to Molineux. Southampton, a club where he has previously spent a spell on loan, are also interested in acquiring his services.
Marseille have now joined the race. OM will only recruit a centre-back in the event that there is a sale in this sector. Lilian Brassier, who only joined Les Phocéens from Stade Brestois this summer, could leave this month amid interest from Stade Rennais. Should he leave, OM could move quickly to bring Danso to the Vélodrome.
